serendipitous. adj. the faculty or phenomenon of finding valuable or agreeable things not sought for. (Merriam Webster)

hooked up. adj. (colloquial). Note that this was used as an adjective rather than its normal colloquial usage as a verb. "That Rolex is 'hooked up.'" Although the sentence used in class was a non-standard usage, its meaning probably derives from this Urban Dictionary definition.

concomitantly. adv. accompanying especially in a subordinate or incidental way. "And during this market decline, the Japanese entered the luxury space concomitantly." (Merriam Webster)

zeitgeist. n. The spirit of the time: the general intellectual and moral state of the trend of culture and taste characteristic of an era. "Popular culture is like fingerprints of the zeitgeist" (from in-class slide)

liminal. adj. of or relating to a sensory threshold "It was a liminal moment for BMW." (Dictionary.com)

übercool. adj. (colloquial) supremely chique. handsome beyond description. geeky, yet bodaciously amazing. "BMW tried to reposition itself as übercool". (Urban Dictionary)

yakked. adj. (colloquial) 1. To be hit very hard or smashed. 2. To be beaten horribly in a game. "During a recession, marketing always gets yakked." (Urban Dictionary)
